Hello Grace in Hamtramck!
As elders we are concerned primarily for your spiritual well-being. We want you to be transformed by the renewing of your mind into the likeness of our Savior, Jesus Christ, for your good and God’s glory. A critical component of that process is time spent in the Word.
Sadly, a study was undertaken which revealed a decline in Bible reading during the COVID-19 crisis (https://www.christianitytoday.com/news/2020/july/state-of-bible-reading-coronavirus-barna-abs.html). One would think the extra time a home would lend itself to more Bible reading, but that has not been the case.
To that end, we are encouraging you to join us in a trek through the Bible. Here is a downloadable printout version of a Chronological reading plan for the year of 2021 and here is an online YouVersion option. Please make note of the recommendations at the top of the schedule. It will be encouraging for you to know that others in the church are reading the same passages and being encouraged similarly by the Holy Spirit.
As you read, we challenge you to make note of those days when you are particularly encouraged by God’s Word by posting an encouragement on the Grace Baptist Hamtramck Facebook page.
Please join us as we read through the New Testament together!
Much love,
Sam, Jason, and Jay
